Wedding planning app that began as a family tool and is expanding into a venue and catering marketplace. Currently shared friend by friend.
Context & Challenges
I originally built Our Special Day for my sister-in-law so she could compare venues and catering options and keep invitees organised in one place.
What started as a focused wedding-planning tool quickly showed demand beyond a single ceremony. Couples needed structure, and suppliers needed a clearer path into that journey.
The Approach
The product is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and AWS. Invitee management, comparisons, and organiser workflows sit at the centre of the experience.
I am now expanding that foundation toward a larger marketplace model for venues, catering, and ceremony extras, while keeping distribution deliberately tight.
Outcomes
Our Special Day is the flagship product in this family of wedding tools. An MVP has already been delivered for a real client, and access is currently friend-by-friend while the marketplace direction takes shape.
