SocketBooks
Solo passion project for Malta mechanics. Invoice and client management in alpha, with a longer-term service-history vision.

Context & Challenges
SocketBooks started from a simple observation: many independent mechanics in Malta struggle with financial clarity while still carrying the full weight of client and vehicle history.
I wanted a mechanic-first product that could grow into a trusted service-history system for workshops and car owners.
“This is my project end to end. Complete ownership, still a passion project.”
The Approach
I am building SocketBooks solo on Next.js and TypeScript, hosted on Vercel, with AWS DynamoDB and Cognito underneath.
The longer product direction includes Base and Ethereum-backed auditability for service records. I am shipping the useful core first.
Right now the alpha focuses on invoice and client management, the workflows shops need immediately.
Outcomes
SocketBooks is in alpha with a few clients. There is no public preview to share yet, and I am validating the mechanic-first workflow before widening access.
